1. Overview
At MagicMockups.ai, we take your privacy and the security of your business and artwork data seriously. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information, with specific details on our integration with the Etsy API and how seller data and credentials are treated.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account and Billing Information
When you register for an account or purchase credits, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. All payment transactions are securely handled by our payment processor (Stripe); we do not collect or store full credit card numbers.
2.2 Uploaded Artwork & Brand Assets
We receive the digital art files, image textures, and shop logos you upload. These files are processed solely to crop high-resolution print ratios, render lifestyle mockups, and generate branded size guides.
2.3 Etsy Seller & Shop Data (Via Etsy Open API)
When you explicitly choose to connect your Etsy shop via OAuth 2.0, we may access the following data strictly as permitted by your granted scopes:
- Shop Profile Information: Your Etsy Shop ID, Shop Name, shop icon, and active currency.
- Listing Information: Listing titles, tags, descriptions, and listing images when you choose to export generated mockups or drafts to your shop.
3. Etsy Seller Credentials & Token Security
Strict Credential Protection: MagicMockups.ai connects to Etsy exclusively using industry-standard OAuth 2.0 with PKCE (Proof Key for Code Exchange). We never see, ask for, or store your Etsy account password.
Here is how your Etsy credentials and API tokens are managed:
- Encryption in Transit: All communications between our servers, your browser, and Etsy's API are encrypted using high-grade TLS 1.3 encryption.
- Encryption at Rest: OAuth tokens (access tokens and refresh tokens) are securely encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption.
- Scope Minimization: We request only the minimum API scopes necessary to deliver the features you utilize (e.g., retrieving shop details and uploading listing draft media).
- No Unauthorized Access: Tokens are never exposed to the client-side browser or third parties and are invoked strictly when you trigger actions inside the app.
4. How We Use Etsy Seller Data
We use data obtained through the Etsy API strictly to:
- Display your connected shop name and verify shop ownership.
- Sync your generated mockups directly to your chosen Etsy listing draft or gallery upon your command.
- Assist with listing title, description, and tag formatting for your digital print products.
We will NEVER:
- Sell, rent, monetize, or lease your Etsy seller data or artwork to any third party.
- Use your private sales, listing data, or artwork to train public generative AI models without your consent.
- Access or modify any listings or shop settings without your direct action and consent.
5. Data Retention, Disconnection & Deletion Rights
You have full control over your connected Etsy shop and data at all times:
- Disconnecting Your Shop: You can disconnect your Etsy store at any time from within your MagicMockups.ai account settings. Upon disconnection, stored OAuth access and refresh tokens are immediately invalidated and purged from our database.
- Revoking Access via Etsy: You can also revoke access directly through your Etsy account settings under Account Settings > Applications.
- Complete Data Erasure: To request complete deletion of your account, uploaded artwork, and associated records, please email support@magicmockups.ai. We will fulfill your deletion request within 30 days in compliance with GDPR and applicable privacy regulations.
6. Cookies & Analytics
We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and application preferences. Anonymous performance telemetry may be collected to detect software bugs and improve application reliability.
7. Data Security Safeguards
We maintain organizational, technical, and administrative safeguards designed to protect personal data and seller assets. Access to operational systems is restricted to authorized personnel under strict confidentiality obligations.
